Our wines
Wine from Naples to Northern Jutland – a wine adventure has begun
The wines come from the winery, Vitis Aurunca, which is located just outside Naples in the Campania region of Italy. Vitis Aurunca is owned and operated by the Ceparano family, who planted the first vines back in 2008. The winery's area is located 800 meters from the Mediterranean coast, beautifully embraced by the Mont Massico mountain and the Roccamonfina volcano. Today, red, rosé and white wines, as well as sparkling wines, are produced and the first vintage was released in 2014, and showed a unique potential from the start. The wines are aged in both steel tanks and new French oak barrels. In addition to wine, citrus fruits and a very special olive oil are produced from ancient trees that grow in the olive grove around the winery.
At Vitis Aurunca, ancient traditions are kept alive, along with the company's values of respect for the environment, care for biodiversity and ethics in production. Vitis Aurunca cultivates its land following sustainable agronomic practices, using water rationally, which promotes the preservation of the soil's structure and stability. Modern production technology and ancient wisdom merge: the use of efficient engines, reduced CO2 emissions and the use of renewable energy through solar panels. Plant and animal biodiversity also finds refuge here: from local herbs to mammals and birds that inhabit the fields, the area is a microcosm of life. Attention to agronomic practices and pest monitoring contribute to the health of the crops without compromising the environment. Ethics permeate all aspects of the company: from respect for man and nature, to the transparency of the production process and the quality of the final product. In every glass of Falerno del Massico wine you can experience a rich history, an unbroken bond between a generous nature and man, the guardian of an ancient heritage.
